Duarte is a city in Los Angeles County, California. Duarte is located on historic U.S. Route 66 which today follows Huntington Drive through the middle of the city; an annual Salute to Route 66 Parade is held on the third weekend in September. The city has an approximate population of 21,500 people, with the median home value being $460,000.

Duarte is bordered by Azusa (SE), Irwindale (S), Bradbury and South Monrovia Island (SW), and Monrovia (W). Duarte Unified School District serves the city.
