West Covina is a city in Los Angeles County, California. West Covina was incorporated as an independent city in 1923 to prevent the city of Covina from building a sewage farm in the area; walnut groves and orange groves continued to flourish during the subsequent decades. The city has an approximate population of 107,700, with the median home value being $515,900.

West Covina is bordered by Vincent (N), Irwindale and Baldwin Park (NW), Covina (NE),  Walnut (SE), Industry and South San Jose Hills (S), La Puente and Valinda (SW), and West Puente Valley (W). West Covina Unified School District serves the city.
